The Reflection Series turns Charlotte Fonne's layering technique toward people. Where her other work layers a place into itself, here a person is layered together with the world that shaped them, the streets, the colors, the textures, and the light of where they belong.
The portrait and its surroundings merge until the two can no longer be separated: a face carries its city, a body holds its landscape. The result is not a record but a recollection. No memory of a person arrives clean of the place they were in.
Each artwork is a limited edition, signed and numbered, printed to gallery standards.
