The Breathe Series is where Charlotte’s layering began. It explores the space where reality merges with the echoes of memories, where the essence of a place is captured not in a single photograph, but through the layering of multiple images.
The work began with an Impressionist impulse. Each layer serves as a translucent memory, and together they soften into a single painterly whole: the color palette shifts, light and shadow diffuse, and the line between what was seen and what was remembered blurs.
The series invites the eye to wander and the mind to travel, to feel a place as it lives in memory rather than as it looked on any one afternoon.
