The Dream Series is the quietest body of Charlotte’s work, a voyage into stillness. It distills a landscape down to its calm: the essence of a place, the flow of time, and the quiet intensity of life held in a state of rest.
Here the layering reduces rather than builds. Photographs captured at different moments are layered into one and soften into bands of color and tone, repetitive lines and gradients that hold a place by its mood instead of its detail. The work moves toward abstraction, drawn less to what a landscape shows than to the feeling it leaves behind.
The series offers the viewer a place to slow down, drift, and find a moment of peace.
