The Broken Series
The Broken Series is a tribute to the Cubist artists of the early twentieth century, reimagining the world’s most iconic monuments through layered photography.
Moving around each landmark, Charlotte gathers it from many angles and layers those views onto a single surface: a graphic rhythm of shapes, lines, and angles that reflects the mental imprint a place leaves behind, the architecture keeping its depth and the sense of having been circled. The result conveys not just what was seen, but how it was perceived and remembered.
The series asks the viewer to look beyond the obvious, to uncover the hidden complexity of the world’s masterpieces and find the beauty in details a single image could never hold.
